A Little More About Me

I’m an introverted, coffee drinking, graphic designer. I'm a summer loving, wine drinking, walker, part-time cook, and closet poet. I love reading, chocolate, good music, metaphors and long sentences that are filled with meaning. I make my own soap. I have a terrible habit of trying to DIY everything.  Seriously.  It's a sickness.

I am from the American West; a Montanan and a lover of Montana. I have an innate love of mountains and water. I sometimes take the land and views for granted, because I’ve never not been surrounded by them. Except when I lived in France (hence the wine loving). Actually, there were still mountains, they were just European. And water, but it was ocean.

That's something else. I love to travel. I was lucky enough at the age of 20 to have a daring, traveling, younger sister. After getting a taste of foreign travel as an exchange student to New Zealand, my sister couldn't wait to to keep exploring the world.  She asked me to go with her, and what started out as return trip to New Zealand with a visit to Australia, quickly turned into an 'as long as we're so close' around-the-world trip. We spent 6 months traveling the South Pacific and Western Europe, visiting over 20 countries and many of Mindy's foreign exchange student friends along the way. Since then, I’ve travelled to 14 states and 33 countries on 5 continents. And I walk everywhere: on city streets, small town dirt roads, up stone stairs at the end of winding cobblestone lanes, around cathedrals and museums, over ocean shorelines and through the narrow paths of any book store I come across.

My home is still Montana (it's my sister's too). There's something to the adage, there's no place like home. Maybe it applies double if your home is Montana.
